Our Story

 

Superkid began after our founders and parents faced their own challenges navigating their daughter's Ulcerative Colitis diagnosis at age 2. What brought their toddler the most comfort was fun, safe bath goods and thoughtful toys and tools - especially for infusion days. Through the highs and lows of her journey, they realized the immense need for a space where families dealing with IBD could find understanding, support, and practical tools. Superkid is their answer to that need—a space inspired by resilience, hope, and the belief that every child battling IBD is a superhero.

Living with an invisible disability like IBD can feel isolating for all, but at superkid, you’re never alone. We are more than just a website (hence the .life address) —we are a lifeline and a celebration of the incredible courage of kids like our little girl who faces IBD with bravery and determination. Together, we can create a world where IBD warriors and their families feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Our Goal is simple:

1. Offering curated Flare-Friendly Products

From cozy blankets to fun self-care and bath items meant to soothe tummy trouble days, these products celebrate the strength of young IBD warriors.

2. Education & Awareness on VEO IBD

Kid-Friendly Resources: Simplified, empowering explanations of IBD for young children. Like our Rainbow Girl book series.
Advocacy Tools & Partners: Learn how to raise awareness for IBD and support ongoing research efforts. We partner with the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America.
